Mild-mannered antiques dealer Neal Mottram (Jack Palance) hides a monstrous secret. Obsessed with an African idol named Tuku, Mottram discovers that ritual sacrifice brings him both wealth and power. What begins as a shocking accident soon descends into a spree of murder, as Mottram lures unsuspecting women to their doom while his fortune and ego grow out of control. But with the police closing in and his delusions spiralling into madness, Mottram’s bloody empire edges toward inevitable collapse.
