Before he went into the jungle for Cannibal Holocaust, director Ruggero Deodato had already shown a different type of savagery. A crime wave is sweeping Rome and no-one's safe; fighting back, the Police take the gloves off. A special squad is formed to hit the villains, and its members include a pair of fearless/ reckless supercops played by Marc Porel (Don't Torture a Duckling) and Ray Lovelock (Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue) – licensed to do whatever they damn well want, crushing crime by any means necessary.

Kicking off with an all-time motorbike chase and then accelerating into even higher gears, Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man is one of the most infamous and brutal Italian cop films of the 1970s, showing Deodato's taste for going further than everyone else. An essential example of Euro Action (and a great favourite of Quentin Tarantino), now finally available remastered in stunning 4K UHD.
